Eco farm

Thanks to the new heating and power technologies and innovations, La Péra Doussa has become a little eco-sustainable oasis between the majestic mountains of Valtournenche.

Since 2007 the farm is completely independent producing power through a hydro-electricity box and heating from wood.

If you share the Gaspard family’s respect of the local environment, La Pera Doussa is the perfect place to spend your days in harmony with the environment.

Chipped wood heating

The house is completely heated by the warmth produced by a specific heating machine that burn chipped wood (that are little pieces of wood) without using petrol. The whole family puts effort in picking up dry wood from the local surrounds in order to heat the house.

Hydroelectric plant

Thanks to the elevation of the farm, the Gaspard family has created a great autonomous system of electricity. For many years now, all the power needed from the farm is made from a hydro-electricity box that uses the water pressure to make power. After the water passes through the box, it comes back to the natural stream without wastefulness and pollution.
